Since 1958, Shoei has made helmets and nothing but helmets. Their history begins with the founding of the Kamata Polyester Company, designing primarily constructions helmets, and now continues with the sales of some of the finest, safest, and most technologically advanced motorcycle helmets on the market. In 1965, the Honda Motor Company chose Shoei helmets as the company's "genuine" helmets, and it has all been uphill from there. Today, despite still being a small company of about 500 people worldwide, Shoei produces some of the most popular, rider-friendly helmets available for riders of all types, not only for the racers they began with, but sport bikers, cruisers, and off-road ATV enthusiasts as well.
